How to Kill a Saturday

A little sample of the damage my father and I did on Saturday. We basically took the bike apart and put it back together over a 12-hour period.

Okay, we didn't really take ALL of it apart. We didn't delve into the engine or anything like that but we did dismantle, inspect and clean the carb. Not a bad start for two guys who've never worked on motorcycles before.

It was also a lot of fun. I couldn't believe how fast the time passed.

Closed on Account of Rabies

Just dug this out again:
Poems of Edgar Allan Poe read by various artists, including Jeff Buckley, Christopher Walken, Iggy Pop and so on. Some of the readings include some background music.

Walken's reading of "The Raven" alone is worth the price. Gabriel Byrne reads "The Masque of the Read Death" which is also pretty cool. When I bought this I was actually on a big Jeff Buckley kick. His reading of "Ulalume" is excellent.

I love the cover art, too.

You can buy it here, if ya like.

George Carlin

I don't really believe in heroes but George Carlin comes about as close as anyone ever could. I'm sad to see him gone.

His humor and insight will be missed.

Dominoes

Who is the absolute worst person that you can think of in the world, past or present?

What do you think they were like as a newborn baby?

I'm not trying to preach anything here. Just genuinely interested in what your thoughts are on this.
